hi everyone im new to this forum deal and to the car bizz.

i had a few questions i just baught a 67 firebird. i bought the car with the front left lower a arm bent and i replaced it but but car still has negative camber on both sides( can it be my coils?), the shop said they maxed everything out and the couldn't get it any closer, the a arms look stock.

next question this car has a small block 400 chevy casting 3951509 was wondering what should i expect from it, what octane should i run?i was told that it had a th350 but the only markings ive found so far are a T with a 14 under it, i do know its a 3 speed.

Welcome, and nice find.

You might take it by a frame alignment shop to see what they think about the alignment. They may be able to fix whatever problem it has. Another possibility is to change out the front sub-frame completely. That would be a lot of work and probably expensive, so it would be best for a frame alignment shop to give an expert opinion.

On the engine, its really hard to say what fuel it would need, what power it makes ect. That motor casting was used for 10 years (70-80) and came out with multiple configurations. If you figure out what heads it has, and do a compression check this will tell you what octane you will need. 87 octane will probably run just fine unless its been modded out where the compression is higher than original.

Hope this helps, and welcome to the forum.

Geetings and welcome to the madness :D

Very nice car, my father in law has his '67 convertable in mothballs and is supposed to be bringing it back to life in the "near future". I'll ask him what he was running gas wise, his is a tri-power 400 setup.
