Has anyone had this problem? I know I should have known something was going to be wrong with it when I got it. It is an APC Intake, wasn't supposed to be, was supposed to be Matrix, but they didn't have any in stock.

What part of the intake is hitting the hood? The filter or the pipe?

the pipe. you can see a little mark in this pic, just in between the battery and fuse box.

its a small mark in this pic, but it did get a little bigger since that pic. Right now I have a few pieces of duck tape on the part of the hood that it hits, hopefully it helps some.

Yeah i see it. I would make something to wrap that part of the intake in. I know it might look ugly but it will stop the rubbing from doing any damage. You could also adjust how your hood sits.

the duck tape seems to be doing a good job right now. should last until I can get an AEM CAI. i would take this one back, but its been too long, unless I can get a refund from APC themself. i think im going to try that right now.

Yea, realized that after I bought it. Was getting too excited about getting a new intake system. I have learned my lesson about APC now though. Not getting anything else from them.
