Does this seem like a legitimate deal?

I found a 91 nissan 240sx le fastback for 3250 with 108000 miles on it. It's coming from a dealer and i was wondering if this seemed right and also was curious about the reliability of this car

Sounds OK...I can't speak for reliability overall with them but just about any car with high mileage like that is going to have some sort of problems, it's pretty much inevitable (sp?).

You have to get it checked out. There is such a huge difference between one that is taken care of and one that is not. They aren't delicate cars or anything, but someone could really dog it out if they treat it like a hot rod every time they drive.

Most dealerships will have some record of the checkout they did when they received it. If it's a smaller dealer, they might not have even changed the oil, let alone had it checked out.

I would also ask about driving it overnight. Take it for a nice 50+ mile drive on the highway with the stereo off and your eyes on all of the gauges. When you're done, get out, pop the hood, and let it idle for a few minutes.

If it checks out, it is a pretty decent deal.
