I have a auto 2001 mustang. Its been makin this weird loud noise lately. It just started recently . At first i thought my tires were rubbing up against something but then i checked and it wasnt that but that what it sounds like basically. something like tires rubbing against something or like a loud airplane noise. WHat else can it be?? Its only when the car is in motion. when the car is parked i can accelarate it and it will be fine. so i know it has nothing to do with the accelaration. Please help me out here PPl!! :banghead: Im getting frustrated cuz i cant figure it out.

Check your power steering fluid. The p/s pump will growl/whine when it is low on fluid.

Could you be a little more descriptive with the sound--Whirring,flaps up...Noise front or rear?

The sound seems like its coming from the front on the passenger side. It sounds like my tire is rubbing against something. Its weird because when i make slight or sharp left turns it wont do it. When the weight of the car shifts to the right then it wont do it but when i i turn right or im just going forward it will make that noise. I dont understand what it could be. :banghead:

No it has plenty of power steering fluid.

The power steering is on the other side, it might be the wear indicator on the right side pads. You will only notice this sound while moving.

Yeah, my family's escalade did that though it was the wheel hub itself.
