window problems

i have a 98 jimmy, when i put up my driverside window, it gets to the top and i can hear and feel the inside panel moveing out and flexing. I am wondering if there is a stop that the window is supposed to hit or is that normal? any ideas what it is because i live in minnesota, i'm a smoker so one of these times after puting it back up on a really cold day its gonna break...no good!

yours should have the cable on door to make it come up and go down.. but sounds like it's out of line a little when going in the top of door...
