:banghead: Hey ... New user ... and need BIG help ...
.0.
Ok first of all i have a 93 lumina base v6 3.1 .... now about a couple weeks ago i blew a gasket i believe was on the waterpump ... went to replace it, had to go to chevy dealership to get a new one ... they wanted 25$'s ... ended up cleaning it and putting manifold cilicone on it and its sealed ... now a week later and driving down the road my window started fogging up ... so turned on the heat and it smelt like antifreeze and got REALLY smokey in the car ... Smoke was comming out of the vents ... so i pulled over thinking i had another leak ... yea no leak ... put its still smoking out of the vents making it impossible to drive, even if i shut off the heat it still comes out ...
Anyone have a clue as to whats goin on ... or how to fix it ??

Welcome to AF on your first post.
Coolant smell inside and vents/windshield fogging up is a heater core leak.
Check for coolant on floor board and lower heater core housing.
And do not breath in the old green antifreeze fumes.
It can cause health problems
Get it fixed or bypass heater core as soon as you can.

The heater core is buried up under the dash inside the car.
It either ruptured, or a hose is coming off of it...either way, it's gotta come out.
I'll find you some instructions....my guess is you aren't going to want to do it yourself, though...

If it is fogging up and sweet smelling it is leaking someplace in there.
As said it is not safe to breath the fumes or smell.
Old green Anti freeze fumes can/could cause your kidneys to shut down
If you have to drive it roll the windows down and keep plenty of fresh air in there.
But a lot safer to fix or bypass the heater core.
Good luck

Depending on what V6 and with or without air the flat rate time is from 1.5 - 5.0 Hrs

Under dash or dash removed required on some and some under hood stuff to.
Look around in the how to forums or run a search on it.
I would grab that person that said he would do it for 80 bucks and let him have at it.:grinyes:
Is this a car or van?
Have you checked the AZ web page on repair info on it?
http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/04/f4/ad/0900823d8004f4ad.jsp
I think jeffcoslacker said he would look for some instructions on it.
Good luck

ok wait ... everywhere i have seen on here it says that if your heater core is gone there would be leaking "IN" the car ... there is no leaking in the car .. it is on the outside on the ground ... but the windows are fogging and smoke and antifreeze smell in the car ... could it be just a hose doing this ??
