Temp

My temp switch is kinda tricky, its always favoring the warm side, you can turn it all the way to the cold side and then back about 2-3 notches and it gets warm as hell. There is no putting it in the middle to be 1/2 cold or 1/2 hot. Does anyone else have this problem and if so why?:screwy:

That's actually kind of funny, never heard anyone complain about to much heat before.
My truck is the same way, once I warm it up inside I put the temp straight up and down and roll my drivers window all the way down, then back up again right away. After that I think it stays pretty comfortable inside.
I'm just thankful that it gets to hot, rather than not hot enough.

I switched from a 28" radiator to a 34" and I thought maybe the heating situation would get better but it stayed the same. My water temp stays about an 1/8" below 210. Which means it probably has the 195 thermostat.

Hey Guys,
I took mine to the dealer to have them have a look at it and they said there was nothing wrong with it. I think it has something to do with the computer controlling the Heater actuator in the HVAC Ducting. Full red is wayyyy tooo hot and about middle is comfortable but most of the time mine is about 4 notches off of Cold.
Great in the winter but a drag in the summer. However, that being said, when I turn the A/C on it seems to variate the heat better. If I chose A/C and then turn the heat to half it's comfortable and I can even very it a bit further towards hot and it doesn't get disgustling hot. Kind of unnerving that the Dealer couldn't find anything. I just recently got a Multi Meter with a Temperature probe and in fact when I vary the heat knob the temperature does change.... Only thing I can suggest is just keep it on the floor. I keep the heat on the floor at about half this time of year and it's seems to be comfortable enough.

Who knows what GM has done? It's just one of those things that you have to learn to live with... Thanks for the replies though...
