thinking of getthing a 2001 foucus

its a 5 speed, does anyone know how hard they are to replace the alt, starter, and other parts. Are the cars easy to work on or do you have to pull a bunch of stuff to get to the parts to change them. and if they are known for any problems. would you recommend this car. thanks alot

i'm not sure about the difficulty of repairs, but i know vacum hoses tend to be problematic on the 00 and 01 when i was looking at a focus i was told to look for a 02 or newer and my 02 has been nothing but good to me. Make sure you get a 5spd the auto isn't near as fun and it makes the car feel quite sluggish.
