Blink - Thanks, I'm coming from a beat up 1996 Mitubishi Eclipes Spyer GS. The top leaked bad so im glad I got rid of it and have a hard top again.
SL3000 - Thanks also, I got lucky and bought it like that. The sad that about my car is that it's a BASE model. I would be happy with just 40 more hp.

I could've sworn it was there. I think it got removed cause of the size. I'll report a smaller pic.

Its in there. I was just saying that i hadnt looked at the thread yet and i didnt know you had a pic in there. Very nice looking car:thumbsup:. So its a real SR? I dont know much about the jdm GTO's but i thought the SR was dohc. And isnt the compression ratio on sohc's like 8:5:1 or something? I know its 10:1 on dohc. Now im all confused lol. Nice car nonetheless.

Yeah, can you post picks of the engine bay and of the rear differential. Not saying I doubt you, it's just pretty uncommon for them to be imported to the USA. Not really cost effective, you know. SR is the DOHC 222hp AWD version of teh SL basically. If it is in fact an SR, congrats you maybe the only guy on here with one.

Ok here are pics of the interior & engine bay. Although this looks like a SOHC, at this point i have a feeling that this is a true GTO. If base models dont come with Leather seats, whoever had the car before put alot of work in the interior..

Here is a quote from Wikipedia
The 3000GT SL was the luxury version of the family. This model was mainly interpreted by the standard options that were not standard or available on the base models. Some examples were the rim size, ECS (Electronically Controlled Suspension), anti-lock brakes (http://www.3si.org/wiki/index.php?title=Anti-lock_brakes&action=edit), alarm system, sunroof, cruise control, power options, leather, and in the last three years, the engine plus many others.
Now here's the funny part, this looks like SOHC to me. You be the judge...

That's an SOHC plenum.
Easy way to tell, look under the back of hte car. Is there a rear differential between teh 2 rear wheels?
http://www.stealth316.com/images/reardiffdrain.jpg
Is there a driveshaft going from the front to rear of the car?
What side is hte steerng wheel on?

Go to the main 3/S page and in the upper left corner there will be a button that says new page.
As for your car, unfortunately it is not a GTO. As to my knowledge there are no LHD GTO's(except maybe in Australia?). Still, SOHC's aren't that bad.
