Car turns off when I turn the wheel/Weak Idle

I'm pretty sure it's the exhaust. It started off with a leak in the flex pipe. After driving home one day I was making a U-Turn in front of my house and when I began to turn the wheel the other way to reverse the car shut off. It kept doing that each time I started it and then the battery eventually died (weak battery.) I jumped the car and drove it into the parking spot quickly.
Now when I jump start the car it would start, weakly idle and slowly the rpm meter would go lower and lower until the car just stops. And If I try and rev the car to keep it idled, put it into drive and turn the wheel the car would shut off. The car is real loud where the leak in the flex pipe is too.
I ordered brand new headers, flex pipe, and a whole catback exhaust last week and they'll be here tomorrow. I'm also going to get a new battery. What do you guys think? It's the exhaust right? Once I get these parts installed this problem should be fine right?

Hi,
what year is your car? How old is the battery?
I wonder is the starter is going bad? you might need to do a complete tune-up.
good luck.

Not sure what happened, I replied this thread yesterday, but it’s not showing up.)
Sorry, just found my typo in Jan-25 response: I meant ‘alternator’ instead of starter.
Are you sure battery is bad?
Normally, 3 cylinders can still run the engine, unless all the compressions are very low that caused eng. Stalled. Do you know when was the filters changed? I think the strainer (in tank filter) is the problem. But not sure if the line filer, but line filter is easier to test.

The car is a 93 altima gxe. I took it down the street to the mechanic and he called me the next day. Told me one of the fuel injectors wasn't working and the car was basically running on 3 cylinders. Would that cause the problems I mentioned to happen?

did you read my alternative response? (in Jan-25 message)

Actually he charged the battery and the car starts and runs but the weak idle and stalling still happens. He put the new fuel injector in and told me it still wasn't working. I asked him to do a compression test on the cylinder that wasn't working and he said it was around 50 and that it's definitly an internal problem. The fuel filter was changed about a month ago and the mechanic noticed that also.

50 is really low, no wonder it's not working. I think other cylinders are about the same condition.
try to inject 0.5 teaspoon of 'Stop smoke oil' into each cylinder in all 4, start eng to run for few minutes - to note hell of smokes will cloud you. shut it off to rest for an hour or so to start again to drive around, let's see what will happen.
