Maybe you can see, I moved the grille mesh behind the grille, looks much better now. Also the Ings wing with highest position, mirrors and I started to build the dashboard.

I also discovered a decal for the 3rd brake light... after I made my own
But mine is much better now, instead of a red stripe I have a reflection sticker which is silver and painted with clear red and smoke.

Man I love your body kit!! You should do a tutorial on how to make side skirts like the ones you make!

They are different wheels?? No way!!! Today days wheel designers have no creativity to do new wheels... They all look the same! :nono:
BTW,that is looking HOT!

Many thanks!
Yes, I will make one, when I build the next Silvia I think in this thread here, too, I do step by step pics.
That was my first body and I wasnīt sure if this method work that well. For this flared body it was very good to build the parts seperatly.
As I sayd on the beginning, there will be more S-Nissans:grinyes:

As a S14 owner I must say I am very impressed.

Some things I noticed
- The car has Japanese spec headlights. awesome!
- The 3rd brake light should have been left out in my opinion. Early Japanese S14s didn't have them

After a short brake and lots of thinking about colour, stripped or not, rollcage or not....

I did this:
Matte semi stripped interior :grinyes:
The roll cage is made from aluminium tubing, Iīm still unsure about the seats.
Double or single bucket seat?

risko, that is looking fabulous!!!!! <yes I'm THAT excited about it!

I'd really like to know how you are going to tackle the tail lights. I tried something on mine. I painted the black outlines on the outside of the lense and clear coated it to level the paint to look like it was all one piece. from the back of the lense I painted the colors. it turned out fair, but would like to know how others would tackle this very poorly engineered kit to make it look as fantastic as you are making it.

Many thanks,

Iīm struggling a little bit with the tail light, the kit has Zenki and Kouki option.
For that Kouki I think to use the part (with the squares).

I planned to do a LED style, clear and red. If I do LED, I will work on the body part some structure at the center and indicator, I think.

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/3927/cd2102im5.jpg

The LED bulbs maybe with a tooth pick and clear glue, red from the inside to the glas and black sorround.

If I do the standard version I will paint black, red and maybe orange on inside the glas.

cool make sure you document your work on the tails, if we could actually SEE how to go about taking care of this predicament, I bet we'd see ALOT more S14 kits on here.

maybe someone can make a decal for the black outline? or a lazer cut mask?

Sorry, sorry, I was so excited and had a mess on the table, I finished it, but I didn´t any more pics:shakehead, but I can do a descriprion with Photoshop next time for the tail light if you like.

Allright, many thanks for your kind words and support through my progress!

I´m stupid a bit, today the weather was very nice and I could catch some time to do 80 pics of the COMPLETED S14. After that I thought that looks soo bad and I decided to wax the body. The shine is great now, but the daylight is gone for pictures.
So, please stay tuned, I look forward to do nice pics and I hope the sunshine is with me.

This a teaser for the final view and the last progress pics.

Interior, I decided to add different seats for using not too much of the green ribbon. I aslo made some gadgets more for the dashboard. I had really bad fitment problems with chassis, interior, cage, windows and body, so I chopped the cage, but at final the fitment was great and the cage is too short now...

That is a very cool S14! i hope one day i can build something like that. i like this color alot! and the interior looks good, i like how you have made some parts of the interior match the color of the body, looks good! but the rear spoiler looks unfinished, you didnt ad the side bits. But it still looks very good. i give you 10/10 :bigthumb: hope to see more of your great work!

that turned out fantastic!!! the tails look great too! I can see how you did the lights, it isn't much different than the way I did mine. I just wish there was a better way....decal, or better etching on the lense.

I must say I am encouraged to get on mine again. very inspiring. thank you for sharing such a beautiful car.

:D Many many thanks for your nice comments! Iīm very happy that you like it.

It would be very nice if I had more pictures now, but I still havenīt :shakehead

About the missing flaps at the wing, I saw them missing on some drifters and I liked it. Maybe I add some as next for the completed look.

The paint is AlcladII Sapphire over flat black.

So far the small description how I did the rear light.

http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/9099/dsc04974ghrc9.jpg

1)
At first I checked the space between the reverse lights to add the structure which looks like a grille.
To get the structure I cutted some thin stripes of 3M tape (strong black tape).
Then I covered the complete light area incl. the tape stripes on the body with Bare Metal foil.

2)
The reverse lights are Bare Metal foil on the inside of the clear part.

3)
All black sorrounds are made from the 3M black tape on the inside the clear part and itīs very helpful for painting, bc it holds the paint where it should be.

4)
LED dots are painted with matte red with a thin brush on the BMF at the body.
And some clear red to the inside of the clear part.

The clear indicators and reverse lights have a little bit of white paint at the inside for more realistic look.

Hope it helps?

Ohhh, man, that is looking great!! But here's one suggestion,I don't know if you have it on your plans...You can AB or Spray a little bit of flat black above the exaust...You know, these cars backfire a lot! So...:naughty:

Risko
03-14-2007, 03:50 PM
Thanks, yep, I thinked about the backfire effect.
But I will do it on a 180SX I think, bc it will have a shorter pipe.

Itīs finished and photographed!
