I have the glass on my side view mirror is broken. Is there a way to replace just the glass and not the whole unit?

Yes, just had it done on my'96 Caravan (mirror glass was about $75.00) and the glass just pops out and the electrical lead disconnects and the new one pops in.

Does anyone know how it pops out. It seems to be glued.

On my '96 it was a ball and socket arrangement. Wife hit a construction saw horse with the mirror housing and the glass popped out, struck body and shattered. On my car the mirror was a heated glass arrangement (I did not know that) so it required a mirror with electrical hook up for both the fore/aft/up/down movement as well as the heat.

My 98 mirror was glued and the stick on replacement didn't heat up enough to get the ice off in the morning.
