How do I check for melting wires...I used higher wattage bulbs and people are freaking me out and telling me that they are melting my harnesses and wires....

How about this: you look at the harness and see if it's melted?

:eek: ooooooooohhhhhhh.....I get it.....man c'mon I could of asked my little nephew for that response....I need more info than that.......When I think of melted I think of a barbie doll left in the microwave for 5 minutes...am I suppose to see like warping.....is the plastic going to melt to the point where I see paint drip type plastic....

well either way, if you use high wattage bulbs, you can do anything about the melting or not. unless you want to go back to stock wattage. i suggest you get high power resistant harnesses.

Look at the wiring loom and check to see if there are any bubbles or blisters appearing on the outside of the loom.
Or if you can, check each wire that you can for the same thing.
You will soon know when it happens (melts), as it will cause a short and blow fuses etc and you will have a pile of molted plastic somewhere with bare wires showing.
