1999 Buick Centry Keyless entry receiver

Where is the keyless entry receiver located inside a 1999 Buick Century.
I have the correct programming instructions for the keyless entry transmitter
but when I apply them it does not chime to let me know I am in programming mode. Does anybody know what the problem may be. I am thinking the receiver.
If it is the problem the Gm dealership cost is almost 3 times as putting a new aftermarket keyless entry in.
Does anyone know if the Python brand keyless entry is any good?
