Ok, some of you may have read about me having the chance to get a civic. Ok the guy doesnt want to sell the his car with the engine blown. He wants to spend $500 on a new SI engine, and install it, and sell the car for $5500.
Should I go for that?? It could use a new quarter panel but its fine otherwise, couple dents on the spoiler, nice rims. Tell me what u think!!
Oh and i'll try to get some pics up of it asap!!

it kinda depends on you. if you gonna swap the motor then you dont need a stock motor but if you wanna keep the stock motor for now then have him put it in. but you can get sohc vtecs for $500. idk if i would pay $5000 for a stock motor si, i would pay $3000 for it maybe 4000 depending on mods. $5500 is ludicris speed

Im talking Canadian dollars here. so that would equal out to about $3125 American. He has a good stereo, I think he's including it: JVC MP3 Headunit, MTX Thunder 6000 12" Sub, and an amp.
He redid the dash to have the gauges light up blue, and hes putting blue lights in the center console and in the rear of the hatch.
He also has factory 14" or 15" (one of the two) Honda performance rims. They look like the Tenzo SHU4 Rims if you've seen them, only without low profile tires.
Overall its a nice car and I like it a lot. I'm in desperate need for a Civic! and this this would be a good buy I think :D. I wanted a B16, but thats a bit out of my price range as im in Grade 12 and off to school maybe next year.
Btw whats the model number for the standard SI engine that it comes with? D16 somethin??

i would ask around to some of the canadian members of the forum. car's values really depend on the location. a $1500 civic in portland (300 miles north of here) is worth $3000 local to me...and that's in the same state. 90CivicRider is canadian and i trust is opinion...send him a personal message or by AIM his name is c90CivicRider

I would feel more comfortable doing this than I would doing indiglos, cause if you dont put em on right it usually fucks up the gauges.
