I've noticed that whenever I'm accelerating my clutch pedal vibrates
my passenger side cv axle is busted ... i'm just curious whether that would be what's causing the vibration ...
either way I'm getting a new clutch setup and axle ... I just wanna know whats up
thanks guys and gals :icon16:

Could be the throwout bearing, or the clutch..but its most likely the vibration from your axle

its probably the pressure plate. My g/f's mustang has been doing it for 2 yrs now, damn clutch kit is expensive for it. Could also be the axle, but if you plan on replacing the clutch and axle, you should knock out that vibration.

Very, even if it doesnt leave you stranded ( which it will eventually) It could get you in trouble. I had my axle lock up on the highway when I was really moving, and I could have died if I had hit something, almost sent me off the road...both sides of the road.

I got a busted axle to but it seems okay to commute with, as long as I don't play around of course. I've been riding around like this now for about a month. A week after i bought the car I broke both axles and only replaced the left side axle lol, it was the only one they had in stock.

Yeah, I drove on my left one (the one I didnt replace after the right one went) for like 2-3 months..till I drove 60mi out of town, and felt it start locking up, had to pull over, manage to make it there and it started locking again. Both times it went away. then just as I was pulling into a parking garage it let loose, the splines were flattened at the end of the shaft and there were metal shavings EVERYWHERE.

My setup is completely stock ... and I have an HF ... so redline is 5grand ...
as far as axle's ... would a junkyard axle be fine or should I just go get a new one?
NOTE: As far as spline count ... do rex axles differ at all from HF to DX to Si?

Yes there is a difference at the hubs if I remember correctly. I think you can either have to use HF specific axles or swap out the hubs for dx/si ones to run dx/si axles. Do a search in this forum. It's been covered a bunch.

Don't waste your time with junkyard axles. Its a waste of time and money. Sometimes you get lucky, but most are junk. Plus some places will charge you the same for a used one as you would pay for a new one.

I've found out from experience that the hf,dx,si hubs are are all the same...the difference is the hf tranny has a different spline count..so the inner joint won't match up..the outer joint has the same spline could as a dx,si though
