alarm won't shut off!!!

Yeah I lost the lock/unlock key chain for my car. Was putting in a new battery and the alarm won't shut off and I can't turn it off. Shound I disconnect the alarm? How do I do that? Is it just one wire? arrgggg!!!!

take off neg cable....

no I want the battery in there, I just want the alarm to stop.

Just like Scrapper said, take the battery out until you get a new remote.
