I think these photos used to exist on Webshots or a similar photo hosting site.
I remember them because of the "almost" chassis plate photo from the longtail. You can see that the coiled wire for the steering wheel cuts right across the chassis plate and it's unfortunately out of focus. When I originally saw these, that car's chassis number was still a mystery so it was quite frustrating.
Anyway, the rest of the site looks mighty impressive. I'll be sure to dig into it later on. Thanks Le Man! :cool:

Interesting display. Wondering aloud when and on which cars they used the carbon fiber BMW Motorsport valve covers vs. the aluminum McLaren ones.

AFAIK the carbon valve covers were used on all the S70/3 GTRs fitted to the longtail cars as well as the BMW race cars that utilized the same engine. "Driving Ambition" says the same on the 'GTR' spec sheet. :)
