Hi,
I wanna start with a problem i had this morning with starting my 1998 328is. I started the car and for the first time ever it seemed to be idling hard like there was something in the engine, and so i revved afew times and its like it stopped, it was weird what happened? I have a check engine light on and off every 1000 miles, but it is for a small intake part, and also my check control light blinks but i cant check it cuz i mounted a TV where the check control use to be. Also I have 18inch rims on my 328is, and i've always had a problem with rubbing of the tires in the back, also has sqeaking sound around the corners when the shocks compress and depress, should i replace? Please help me out.

Sometimes bad gas can make an engine idle hard like that like if it isn't refined enough or there could be oil buildup on the spark plugs. Other than that, from what you said, I dont know of anything else. Hope this helps.

What do you mean by bad gas can? Do you think it has something to do with a vacuum leak? i've seen a lot of forums now and it seems this problem is usually 99% contributed due to vacuum leaks. Oil on the spark plugs is interesting, but i checked those 2000 miles ago and they were fine

Im just saying that its a possiblitity bad gas can cause the spark plugs to fire roughly especially when idling. Its happened to me before.

The squeak in the back is not necessarily your shocks. My guess is that it may be your rear shock mounts. Mine did it too before I replaced them. :)
