Clear coat showing....etc

hello everyone... on my front lower bumper driver side the clear coat is coming off a little and, its kinda showing a border like difference between the silver color and the clear.. Id like to camoflauge it so that it doesnt show much anymore with out having to repaint my whole front bumper.. I gave it a light water sand and, then just applied some wax for finishing.. Is there anyway I can do this so that it doesnt show... because i can still see the difference.. So any advise would be appreciated.

from what I've been told, there isn't much you can do short of repainting:(
My lower bumper is missing clearcoat as well. It's really bad. There's also a large spot on top of my bumper that has begun to peel. The paint without clearcoat has already faded quite a bit, so I'm just going to have the whole bumper painted. One would think that there would be a way to smooth out the edge where the clearcoat ends, then re-apply some clear. I don't know. It's always a GM vehicle! Oh well, Good Luck with yours!

Sanding on a spot where the clearcoat is missing will only make things worse, you'll be sanding actual paint instead of the clearcoat, and paint doesn't like scratches, no matter how small. There is really no way to hide peeling clearcoat except to re-paint. If that's the case, I suggest doing the whole panel, because a spot fix won't fix the actual base of the problem.

what should we expect to spend to have a bumper repainted? I'm certainly not doing my work myself!! no experience.
