Swapped out Auto Cams

Hey all- well, i went back home this past weekend, and my friends and I swapped out the camshafts from my B16. If any of you remember from a post a while ago, I had asked if there was a difference between the B16s that were bolted to automatic trannies (integra XSi/RSi) and the ones that were bolted to 5 speed manual trannies (SiR/XSi/RSi). I found out that there was- and the difference was that the ECU was different and the automatic cams are less agressive than the 5speed ones. There is supposed to be a 5-10 wheel horsepower difference between the auto and stick b16's.
So, we removed my auto cams, and installed the 5 speed SiR camshafts that I still had from my old B16 that i blew up. It turns out that my auto cams looked shittier than my old 5speed ones....so go figure..heheh Anyways, we compared the intake camshafts, and the VTEC lobe on the 5speed cam is visually larger, and appears to have more degrees of duration (or however you say it) than the auto cam. Well, I can tell a slight difference in power now.... :D and, VTEC seems to engage "harder", and the power doesn't seem to peeder off when I approach 8k. just thought that you guys would like to know :) later guys

Nice job man.:) The auto cams are crap from what I hear and once they are swapped with 5spd cams it seems to make a whole lot of difference. Good luck with the new found power;)
