Replacing alternator and water pump on 85 deville

About how much would the cost be to replace these two things if I do the work myself? I'm thinking of buying this car and reselling it after I fix it, the owner says it needs an alternator and a water pump and a battery. I was thinking of putting a battery in it to get it running then having a mechanic give it the once over but before I do that I'd like to know how much fixing these two critical parts is going to be.

Thanks

A new AC Delco waterpump is around $80-$90, and a rebuilt alternator is around $60 or so. The waterpump is a pain to change on those cars, so just be aware of that!
