Saw someone was going to convert a Metro into a hybrid, back in 2005, how did it come out? Saw you were told sedan springs were stiffer for the extra battery weight, did you use them? And if so, do you like them?

Hey GR.......... I've read many posts on lowering these cars but never raising. It's something you''ll probably have to do by trial and error. Read some posts on lowering because to lower the same amount front and rear you have to remove more spring from the rear than the front. So you would have to do the same wth taller springs to raise height. This will change alignment too and maybe require different shocks and struts . Check TeamSwift and do a search for lowering and reverse process. You might search for raising but I've never seen it. Good luck.......

Thanks, that's what I've been thinking. And, probably noone else wants to do it. I live near a National Forest and sometimes take the trails in my Metro. It is small and thin enough to go into tight places that a jeep wouldn't fit. The problem I encounter one in a while is the ground clearance being too low.

This is what I'm talkin' about!
How can I attach a picture of my Metro?
1) Go to http://www.imageshack.us
2) Hit the "Browse..." button and find the image on your computer.
3) Click "host it!"
4) Copy the address that is in the box to the left of "Direct link to image".
5) Put [*img]address[/*img] in your post (remove the asterisk symbols, I had to put them in there or else the code wouldn't show up. Then where it says "address", replace that with the address from step #4.)

I actually came across something similar on Google Images today:

I'm not sure if I'd want to do it myself if I had a Metro. I'd imagine it makes the mileage go down like 40%++
