My Radio has no Sound... please help!

It's a 2000 Silverado. The radio is not locked, and changes channels as normal. The CD works fine. However the battery was removed for a fender replacement while in a shop for a month. Since I got it back, the radio has no sound. :banghead:

I would like to hear from anyone that knows more than I do on this. Like I said , it is not locked. So I am wondering if there is a external amp, or a fuse for it if it exists. The fuse for the radio is OK, and the radio is on.

What Gives????

I will appreciate any responces. Thanks in advance!

Do you hear anything from the speakers? Turn the volume all the way up, can you hear static? If you can hear noises from the speakers that would eliminate them. Unless they are all fried, which I doubt.

Have you pulled the stereo out of the dash? It's possible that the speakers are disconnected, don't know why or how they would have gotten disconnected, but they could be. If you decide to pull it out and check, have an extra speaker handy and connect it to see if you can get sound from it.

Another maybe is that the channels are fried in the stereo. If I were in your truck it'd be easier to figure it out. But these are just a couple things I would try if I was having your problem.
