do any of you guys know if anyone makes mesh inserts for a first gen? Im just looking for some way to keep leaves and debris off the radiator and intercoolers. Ive looked around on the web but couldnt really find anything.

I would try and make it myself, but im lazy and i'd screw it up anyway. lol

i could help make them, but i've never looked at a 3k's front end, tell u the thruth, so i have no idea as to where u want it. just in the middle of the front, or middle and sides by the fog lights?

i had a mesh grill insert kit once. that was my first 'mod,' if you can call it that. i thought i was the shizzle. it was 4 years ago right when i got my car. i got it from a website that i believe is now deceased, www.drunkenbear.biz. it worked well to keep leaves and such out of the bottom of the engine bay. looked good on the car. i have a few pics i'll try to find. however, the metal was of a small thickness, and over time it got bent fairly easily. i think i've since removed most of the inserts b/c they went to crap. i think i remember someone on 3Si making a billet grill out of thick gauge steel, it was heavy duty (so it wouldn't bend or dent) and looked very clean. however, i believe it was only for the front opening. that is, there weren't any other inserts to go in the other front bumper openings, like around the fog lights or side openings where the stock sidemounts are.

that looks pretty good. I plan to spray it black and leave the fogs open. how hard is bumper removal?

huh, stealths dnt have the "vents" in front of the tires.
i think all the venting is smaller on the 3k too. as for bumper removal idk how hard that is, hopefully linebackr can answer

bumper removal isn't that bad. for you TT guys, you'll probably need to remove the front active aero. to remove the bumper, there are bolts on top next to the radiator, bolts underneath the headlights (must remove headlights, even pop-ups), bolts on the underside of the bumper, plastic shields in the fender wells, and there are bolts on L brackets (one on each side) where the bumper meets the fender.

vector-----> the lenses underneath the pop-up headlights are called the snake eye lenses. there no light, but there are several ways to make the lenses illuminate. search for 'snake eyes'.
