body moulding problem

the body moulding, the runner, that goes along my passenger side front door has fallen off, for some reason it kept catching the front panel (on the right side of the engine) whenever i opened the door, i hvae since gotten the area where it used to catch popped back into place, but the moulding has fallen all the way off... it is a 97 gp gt

there are two holes, one to the rear of the door and one at the front and there are two pegs matching those holes on the runner itself, it seems to slide into a channel at the bottom of the door, and there are about 6 white plastic plugs in what seems to be the center of where the moulding used to be... do those have anything to do with holding the moulding in place or is that used for some other purpose... also is there anyway to reattach the moulding, i've tried glueing it but it doesn't seem to want to stick very well and its hard to clamp the front portion due to the door having to be open to clamp. any suggestions would be most welcome...
