Hey all,
Sorry if this has been covered but I did use the search and couldnt find any matches (even on this silly dialup here at work..).
I have a 2000 zx3 and was wondering if there was any sort of rear brake adjustment that can be done?
I like more of a rear brake than this is giving me, feels like 90% of the braking is being done with the front wheels.
The brakes for such a little car seem to be severly lacking in power (it does brake nice and straight) as you have to jump on them pretty hard.
On all of my older rigs that I have owned over the years you could pop off a little rubber grommet and get at the adjusters and crank in more rear brake but I looked under this one and I don't see anything like that from the outside.
I like having a lot of rear brake as I like the way it settles the car down...
Any help would be great as this is starting to become nasty with all of the snow we have been getting lately.
Thanks all. o/

80 to 90% of the braking is normally done by the front.
Some modern braking systems have special procedures for doing brake work, I would reccommend getting a repair manual. They cost about $20- at major auto parts stores. Or you can try your local public library for free access to one.

The rear brake adjustment is done automaticly when the brakes are apllide. There is a rubber gromet but it wont let you make the brakes grab sooner or anything like that. The rear brakes on focus's are meant to last a long time. My sister has a focus and hers lasted til 110,000.
