Looking good!

Tell me what kind of batery you used, where you put it and what kind of switch?

 :eek2:  :eek2:

They both look seriously cool! Have you got any more detailed shots of the wiring and battery connections?

Looks real good, I'm doing the same with my tamiya 350Z, almost completed, just need to finish the interior and connect the wires to the power source. I think my next kit might be a skyline, thanks for the inspiration!! and again, beautiful job on the R34. ;)

That's very nicely done, great job!

...Welcome!

hahah thanks =)

Oh I didn't use batteries, I connected those 8 LEDs with a 24volt transformer <-- is this how u call those biggo blocks u put in the outlet?

Cuz hahaha.. I love to watch my Skyline lights on 24/7, so I don't think batteries will last.

There are some pics of the LEDs in the Skyline Workshop,.... a little tiny link on the skyline page... hahah or just go here:

it looks awesome....... just hope that my R32 can match your R34 :D

those 3mm white/blue LEDs are great.. i didn't found any white LEDs below 5mm where i live.:( :(

just one question, maybe two:
1) did you use any resistors??
2) did you put the front LEDs in series???

Cheers

The tegs lights are bright! It looks absolutely awesome! I am very jealous.

yea i put a resister in it... forgot how many ohms, my friend gave it to me (it works without it but he said i need it  )

ummm... i put the LEDs in serial order.. like this:

For the 3mm LEDs, I got those from Frys.... don't go to radio shack their smallest one is 0.5cm

looks good. soon i will be experimenting with lights. hopefully they'll come out as good as yours did.

how much did you get those LEDs for, the cheapest i can get them for is $5.70 for 2 w/ resistors.

If you can, make the taillight brightness weaker,so it won't look like you're braking...
If you had a Skyline, would you slow down???????????????
No,so weaker taillights would be more acurate(for a skyline driver):D :D :D

hahah i like ur thinking... yea maybe tail lights not as bright is a good thing =)

Those LEDs... the white ones are pretty expensive, if I remember correctly, they're around 1 to 2 bucks each, the 5mm ones are cheaper... but forgot the exact price :-\

Smoke the bulb in the taillights, you can use tamiya smoke,it's a good paint:)

why dont you just put a stronger resistor the back LEDs as long as you didnt hooked it up in a seriel circuit with the head lights.

damn.. those lites would definitely piss me off on the street at nite!! :D

both teg and skyline look super.. real cool in the dark, esp. the resistors need to be there to limit the current through the leds. if too much current flows through them they can burn out quicker. excellent job!

thanks so much for posting this. i'm going to try it. i made a 24V power supply that i can plug into the wall back in high school. i never knew what to do with it, but i know now! thanks!

Nice lights!!!! One question for all of you, what do you guys recomend for a resistor ohms?? Or what I should I start off testing off with first.

Resistor value depends on the voltage of the power source and the way you wire the LEDs and resistors together.
When I get to design my own I might post the wiring diagram for you guys. I work for a well known company that makes engine & transmission controllers for major car makers. :smoker2: I am a sw guy and I work around hw engineers.

coool!!! lol i don't even know how much ohms that resister is...hahah my friend just gave it to me and told me to use it.. i'd need to learn this stuff :)

btw... what is SW and HW engineers?
