hello, i have a 2001 pontiac montana, the other day we had a ice strom and my wife went to use the wipers and now they don't go away into the hide away position, they stay strigrt up on the drivers side and half way on the passengers side, i went to the dealer and that said its common when its type of weather, that said the crank ame was bent or the crank motor does not go back to the right position. is there a way to fix it becausr the park is $200 + labor + tax. i want to fix my self. the wipers work fine the way they are just does not hide away.
please help :banghead:

I would see if they park when you turn them on (go down to the park position). If they do and work fine, you might be able to pull the arms off the wiper motor, and run it until it parks. Then pull the wiper arms and wipers down to the park position and then put them back on.

Take the arm off the motor, let it think it is parked. Whether up or down, then push the arms down to the park position and re-attach the arm.
