96 Regal Custom: Headlights

Hi I have a 96 Regal Custom 3.1L , there is a sensor in the dash that detects if its dark out and turns the lights on if needed. How do i disable this so I have to use the switch? My switch can be "off" yet the lights are on beacuse of that sensor.
