Hey, my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE(3.1L v6) has 110,500 Miles on it. I cant tell if my Tranny Fluid needs to be changed. Its red like usual. Has a Crayon smell to it(crayola) thats the closest smell i can compare it to. Doesnt look like theres dirtr or anything floating around in it. Not really to dark....but what should i be looking for..and what does tranny fluid suppose to look like, when it needs to be changed. Thanks:screwy:

The Dextron-III is red in color and will have a funny smell to it.
The ATF along with a new screen filter should have been replaced back at 100K miles under normal driving conditions. Under severe driving conditions 50K miles. All of this data is in the owner's manual.
Do not get a flush either full or fluid exchange with your mileage.
