Im looking into body armor for my 97 chevy k1500. I take good care of the truck as it is my daily driver, but I also use it to do a lot of dirty work and rcently the top edges of the bed have been getting all banged up. So I was thinking aabout diamond plating on all the top edges oh he bed and some sort of spray on liner for the bed itself. Any suggestions as to brads or set ups?

I do some mild-moderate off roading as well and wasalso looking into skid plates for anythign and everyhting on the bottom of my truck and also, I want to reinforce my rocker panels some way, I saw diamond plating for that to, but does that do much more the protect from stones and othr debris?

Any advice as to how I should go about this or where to shop would be awesome, thanks.

RHINO LINING.

That shit is awesome as a bed liner and many more uses. Spray the bed as well as the tops of the bedrails and down onto the sides an inch or so, this stuff can be sprayed up to 1/4" thick and it's pretty strong. I'd have liked to have it done as throwing logs into the back of the truck, those few logs that hit the tailgate really dinged it up. If I were you I'd also spray the rocker panels with it too, all the way along the truck, it'll never rust and it'll last forever, impervious to rock chips and all that. As far as skid plates there are "some" aftermarket ones but not many. Because of where I work I can make my own, and you could too. 1/4" mild steel will work but it will rust a little bit, but it'll prevent worse things from happening. I knew a guy who use to have a full size ford and made almost an entire skidplate under the truck kind of like a supercar. He said if he hit deep enough water at high speeds he'd ski on it for awhile. I'd cover everything from the front to just past the tail end of the tranny. It will add considerable weight but if done right will add strength to the frame and protect everything. You could save some weight if you wanted by taking out large holes of the steel, lose a little strength but save considerable weight.

All depends on if you're worried about looks or not or any of that other shit.

When I get a new truck I might do all of this to my old 92 that i'm driving right now, I've had fuckin fence posts fuck up my fuel lines because of driving over them. I want to make some kind of rock sliders along the sides below the cab and that, you know kind of like your side step bars but out of metal so that way if i drag frame across something it doens't fuck up the rest of the body, not like it isn't already though.

It's too bad though as I'll be buying a LB7 Duramax and I want to modify the shit out of that, I won't have as much money for this truck. A grand would satisfy what I want though, just regear it and put lockers in.
