Altima doesn't start all the time...

Hi ,
I have 1996 Altima. It just had a major tune-up (plugs, wire, cap, rotor & valve cover gasket), and a new cam/crank sensor. Even after all this work she still doesn't start all the time (or she will start and run for abt 5-10 minutes and die out and won't start back up until days later).

I drove her this past weekend with no problems, but the next day it was raining and again no start.

I was told to take her to the dealer for a diagnosis, but I'm concerned about getting ripped off. Is there anything else I could do before going to the dealer.

HELP PLEASE

-Thanks in advance,

Is there a rich fuel smell?
Any electrical problem do you see?
Does it skip?

There is no rich fuel smell.

No electrical problems to my knowledge.

Yes, the car does skip at times when driving.

-Thanks in advance

I think it might be a coil problem... So there must be an electrical problem and the plugs aren't firing because there isn't enough power. I suggest checking how much power your are getting from the coils when turning the key.

suggest:
1. remove all spark plugs and crank to check sparks.
2. (with care) to disconect engine side fuel line at filter to see if fuel comes out thru filter? (prepare a container to prevent spils.)
