What would cause a car to not have any lights(head light or taillights) when the headlight switch is turned on(but the brake lights work if you put your foot on the brake and the turn signal works), no heat(blower not turning on), no windsheild wipers, do all these get there power from the same place if so where? if now what could be the problem all fuses good

well figured out the headlight issue, that was caused by a burnt fusible link but still no wipers or blower(heat)

Sounds to me like the battery was shorted to ground somehow. The wipers and blower are on separate fuses and are ign. on items, so since you said your blinkers still work that would eliminate the ignition switch. I'd look at the rest of the wires coming the starter to the junction block, maybe whatever surge you had burnt up the ign. power wire from the starter.

well I was doing away with some of the unnecesary vacumm lines and when I started the truck up the windsheild wipers came on and wouldn't go off had to unplug them for them to go off, and still no blower action..I have emergency flashers but no turn signals
