abs. air bag

hello iam looking at a2001 cavalier the sell said it has two light on one is abs the other is air bags can any body tell me what it will take to fix this thanks kimber

The Abs could be a number of things but the only reason the airbag light would be on is if the airbag fuse (on the side of the dash) is blown or something is wrong with the airbag, and to replace the airbag isn't cheap.

Do what lance said about checking the fuse for the airbag. If its not that, i'd advise you to look elsewheres as issue with the air bag systems are very rare. Either it went off and they never replaced it, one of the connections is bad or come undone, something of that sort. The ABS light could be one of the sensors at the wheels came undone and is a very common thing to happen. Very easy to get under there to check em all out.
