well ive had a cold for almost a week now, a real nasty one that caused me to completely lose my voice for 3 days. Anways i decided to start drinking tea, just cause it helps me feel better and the warm tea relaxes me.
But ive noticed when i drink it, i get a head buzz similar to a high feeling. I normally but a tablespoon of sugar and some honey in my tea. I have the lipton tea bags.
Is this normal or does anyone else notice this?

Are you sure there is just tea leaves in those bags??? j/k. I've never noticed anything and I drink a lot of tea,(maybe that's why, I'm immune to it lol)., especially in the summer. I make a lot of sun tea and do notice that if you leave it out too long it can ferment. It gets a weird smell and taste to it. Could it possibly be a reaction to the small amount of caffeine in it?

i was thinking it was the antioxidants or it could be that ive used the pot im using the boil the water to make THC oil for brownies. I wonder if theres some oil that is stuck to the side of the pot and when im boiling the water its mixing into the water and giving me a slight high.

Some teas contain a lot of caffeine actually, so don't be surprised that you buzz from it.

Is it an alert buzz, like from strong coffee? Or a slightly mellow, enhanced buzz, like from pot?

if it's an alert buzz, then it's probably the caffein. if it's a relaxed buzz type thing, it could be the combination of what's in the tea and your cold. i know i react strangely to stuff when i have a cold. hell even a glass of water can make me feel weird sometimes.
