Hello everyone!

First, I would like to tell you I am a total newbie in cars and stuff, and I am looking for a cheap ride. I stumbled across this website - [link removed by moderators] and want to know if it is legit, I heard people have very good deals there.

Is it worth trying? Anyone tried this service? Thanks in advance. Also recommend some cars under $15,000!

First, tread lightly gents. Advertising is not allowed so please have a read in the forum guidlines (there is a link in my signature) before posting again. Any further advertising will earn you a ban from the site.

Second, I haven't heard of that auction site so can't tell you if it's good or not. If you were savvy about cars and damage and repairs, you might benefit at an auction. But since you're new to cars then you'll probably want to stick with a reputable dealer until you know a lot more.

Thanks, but I need something just to ride to work. I am planning to buy a new car, but I figured I could save lot's of money on an auction. Do you think I should try?

The thing about an auction is that there can be anything from Grandma's creampuff to Uncle Joe's accident-waiting-to-happen. It's buyer beware for sure, so if you don't know or can't tell the difference (or have a friend or relative that can) you're probably better off by going to a dealer.

Also, there's typically no warranty given at an auction, so if something does go wrong with the car you are on your own.

Sometimes you get a deal, sometimes you get what you pay for.

Good luck with it, but in your position I'd steer clear of an auction.

Looks like an ad to me. If you want to risk your cash, go for it.

Just remeber like anyhitng else in life you get what you paid for. There are countless internet sites offering free advice and prices but tread lightly.
