WIP-Widebody nissan silvia S13

hmmm, no pics as of yet for this thread, but im putting up the details of what it shall be:
URAS/ORIGIN bodykit :evillol:
DMD the Image flares :boink:
Toyota 2JZ-GTE engine transplant:uhoh:
custom turbo:iceslolan
either ADD pink, or lime green, prob. pink with black hood/trunk(its a nice pink D/W):slap:
(thats what my friends reckon of pink..but i think itll look good,different....)

Ive also made a set of rims that will fit a tamiya, they have 15mm of chrome dish on them, so i better make the flares kinda big.....:bananasmi
the centers on my wheels are black at the moment, but please post what colour you think and what colour centre wheels,im having trouble deciding.....

ummm, the origin red? yeh, that car is my wallpaper at the moment :) i considered a candy red aswell, but the origin colour is one hell of a nice colour, im paying a guy ($30!!!) to mix any paint i want to my needs, so anything is possible.Im not sure i have the skills for a droptop, this is actaully my first model with styrene! so its a bit of a trial for me, although if I cant do it,ill paint it something hot, put some watanebes on it and deck it.... :)although a droptop silvia would ROCK!! have you seen kazama's?

the car will be wingless, no doubt, although i have a small drift style spoiler here, which looks like a guerney flap, so thats a maybe...but prob. no wing

anyways, thatnks for the ideas, I love em,Im waiting to start the model, but havent had time since I recently started an apprentiship as a mechanic(trying to speciallize in SR20's) and have no gtime what so ever, but lost of money for more S13's!!!!! im planning another widebody, a stocker, a street car and of course another derifter, i love S13's...but im stuck with my celica :(.....

well, ive started the flares, ive only done the rears so far, and im yet to paint and sand them,ive stayed true to my word and have made them like the DMD flares, the rear bumper is going to be based on a widened version of a ford focus M-sports bumper, the front is kind of undecided,
by the way! Putty is so hard to use!! its so anoying, i have a lot of sanding to do, enough talk, here are pics....oh yeh! the bonnet has also been cut off, ready for the 2JZ :evillol:

ummm, a majority vote is starting to emerge in my poll, it seems most people would like it to be lime green, which happens to be my favourite coulour, althought i would like a poink car, and an orange one, and the suggestion for the origin red was a good one, so please keep voting, im dying to see what5 everybody else thinks.anyway, pics...

I just decided on the front, im too nervous about cutting the bumper of an S13 off, so im gunna extend the front lip instead.please give me some feedback on this, as to whether you think it will look good.

Origin red is a good one. Followed by black bonnet and trunk. With the rims it has on now, it'll look great! Ever think of using carbon fiber composite decals instead of a black boonet and trunk? It will look alot more detailed.

hmmm, I actually have no idea what carbon fibre composite decals are, lol, i dont have much of a clue with medel modifieing, im actaully building the side skirts as i type :) im glad you like the rims, first compliment ive received on them,theryre made out of a R32 skyline rim believe it or not :)

Carbon Fiber is a material that they make for cars to reduce the weight that the normal parts carry. Im not sure if you've seen street racing cars that have the black bonnet or wing or trunk. Most of the time the bonnet is made of carbon fiber. Carbon fiber gives the bonnet a black/pewter look.

Yea I like your rims. Mainly cuz I have the same ones on my s15. I just painted them gold.

lol, sorry, I knew what CF was, but I had no clue waht a "composite decal is"?
this model is driving me nuts, I was up until 2:00am last morning trying to get my skirt on right (pun intended)

Sorry about that. Well carbon composite just means "carbon material" so, I guess i had to clear that up. But post pics up of the skirt. And sometimes i work 8 hours in total trying to fix my models. You were up till 2 am while i worked till 5 am on the motor. It happens.

lol,ok then :) WOW!! 5am!! thats devotion, and i thought 2am was bad :), well, i removed my skirt completly, and did it a different way,i made the whole thing out of styrene, where-as before i tryed putty,like I said, this is my first time using putty, so I aint very good :)
oh and by the way, nice Honda in your signiture, from what I can see its a work of art :)

this is the silvia in its current state,the origin?uras kit has been dropped, oim just making what I can now :) make it up as I go, so now its a "Custom" bodykit with DMD flares

thats coming along nicely. I reckn for colour maybe a metallic red and a black roof, two tone paint job, and keep it wingless!

Yes! Wingless is a must! It will look good wingless. Thanx. The Integra looks good in the picture, the lights are a little messed up though. But your projec is comming along very good. What putty you using anyway?

hee hee, yeh, i will try and make my pics better, im not to good with a camera yet :) ummm, im using "tamiya Epoxy putty" at least, thats what the box says.....at least in english anyway.....
yeh, the rims on it at the moment arec going on it definetly, i love the amount of dish they have.
for the front, either an extended front bumper(just a lip added to the standard one, or a lip added onto a late model 180SX bumper, I dont want to cut into an S13, its to nerve racking, lol

im going to do the rear of the car tonight, and possibly the opposite side skirt, and then the front flares, im flaring the front out aswell, but not quite as much.
does anyone have anything negative to say about a N/A tuned 2JZ with trumpets?? because im kind of undecided with the whole N/A verses Turbo thing, but I feel turbo's are a little to "common-place" now,
oh yeh! and in case anyone is wondering, yes, that is the final ride height, a little bit low?
im going for a drift look, but I dont want the car to look like a hack-job...maybe a car that was just built, but not driven yet? because i dont think any sane drifter would dish out the hard earned cash on some DMD flares to smash into tire barriers

DK can drift my moms ride! Tsuchiya is simply the best driver ever. Orido owns too. But yea, you dont want too much of the over fender there. You decide on the color scheme? Check out my thread im doing the same model.

Wow. By the sounds of your progress, looks like youre doing great on the build. On the sideskirt exhaust note, im not too familiar with many cars, well imports atleast, with the exhaust on the side skirt. Remember keep it as clean as possible.

ive decided on a typical massivly angled cannon exhaust, but ive done side ecits before on models, my AE86 has it coming out of the firewall, tyhrough the inteerior(its stripped out) and then out the bodywork,but thanks for your reply :) and i just attached the front bumper, its nothing special, but it complements the rest of the car....im dying to paint the bitch :) but ive got to finish thwe body first,im removing the speakers behinf the rear window,and making a battery mount and mounting the battery in the interior, or putting a piggy-back ECU behind the rear window, i wanna be different :)

sorry.thats a quick update on the silvia, its now painted,the engine is being taken care of, im mounting the intercooler in a 'V' configuration, naturally aspirated 2JZ,its got nice chrome trumpets out the side, and i made my own exhaust manifold, which is far from perect, but at least it has one.,the actual exhaust has been made, its a cannon, mounted on an angle,sorry for the slow reply, but ive been worked flat out at work, and havent had time to gewt on my computer./
anyway, if anyone is still whatcing this, i hope you like it...
