need help bad with a 2.2

i have a 96 sonoma and it will only do about 60 mph and its running rough,hardly has any power,if anyone knows what it could be or any ideals , well thanx and i hope someone helps me out

Got to start with the basics.........Do a full tune up.................................

cap
rotor
plugs
wires
fuel filter
pcv
air cleaner

Also how many miles on the truck and what year/model.. Is the ses light on?
