There have been quite a few threads on this forum recently regarding lack of heat in Taurii. Please use the excellent search feature on this forum and search for keywords such as "water pump" and "flush heater core."
You may be experiencing issues with bad impeller vanes on the water pump and/or a plugged heater core.

Are both hoses going to the heater core hot?

I had the same problem with my 99 Taurus se. I was getting the same replies you are on this forum. I eventually took it to an auto repair shop and they replaced the "Blend Door Actuator", it cost $190 and Im in Georgia. Good luck

It could be a number of different things or several things. Need some more details to diagnose further.
Do you have heat to both hoses coming from the heater core? Where is the temp guage after the car has been running? Do you get any heat if the car is moving or the engine is reved up?
I had several issues contributing to my no heat issue. I had a worn out water pump, a bad blend actuator door and a plugged heater core.
Pull the hoses to the heater core and flush out the core with a garden hose. See how much crap comes out.
