Help Identifying Bracket

I have a 2002 Alero, 3.4L V6, automatic. I bought it rebuilt after a front right corner hit and am fixing all the things the rebuilder didn't fix. I need to identify a bracket bolted to the block just to the right (looking from under the right wheelwell) of the crankshaft pulley. It goes up and to the right behind the small pulley under the water pump pulley. What is this small pulley? I know the bracket holds a wiring connecter for the wires that go down to the crankshaft position sensor. The bracket has been bent behind the small pulley and is rubbing it and the belt. I can try to draw a picture if that would help. Thanks for any help.

The small pulley below the water pump and to the left of the A/C compressor is an idler pulley.

Thanks Bob (bnaylor). That helps considerably to know it is just an idler pulley. So there is no reason this bracket should be bent up behind it and touching it. I will remove the bolt holding the bracket and straighten it.
Thanks Again

bnaylor,
I removed the bracket, straightened it, replaced and now I'm good as new. Turns out it is just there to keep the wires from getting caught in the belt or pullies. I appreciate people like you who will help even us dummies.
Thanks again
