Is it necessary to reset your ECU after installing a mod?

If I installed a AEM intake on my 00 z24, should I reset the ECU? And can this be done by unplugging the neg from the battery and stepping on the brake for a few secs?

Magnaflow exahust to come within the month, so should I wait to get it done then have it tuned?

no, no minor bolt-ons will effect anything enough to make the stock ecu get outa wack. only if you add a major performace upgrade i.e. turbo or s/c will require a new or reflashed ecu. and some kits even come with a replacement.

Nope... install it and kill your first tank of gas with your lead foot.. because everyone love that new sound that your car will make.
