There are Dutch and/or Belguim Modellers here.. I'm Dutch and IIRC Huudo is Belgium. We had an Erik (306st16..?) but I haven't seen him post here in a couple of months and some more.

As Wishmaster pointed out, I'm from Sint-Truiden in Belgium. So Hi!!:D

The reason why JP'sCelica made this call, is cause we (we send some PM's on this before) are trying to set up a AF Car Modelers meeting during the IPMS Nationals in the Netherlands.

When: Saturday 16-nov-2002
Where: Nieuwegein, The Netherlands

Count me up for the Nationals. Just 2 tiny factors that can stop me on going.. I need a driving license.. (hope to get it 14 october..) and that I complete a NICE model.. the first three aren't that great.. (other words they suck..) but I'm working on a nice Veilside RX 7 just need to do the body (painting and detailing..) and some interior details en decals..

But if faith helps a hand im present, i guess..

Believe me guys, it would be a great show. Eight different categorys for your car models. That is a lot compare to other IPMS shows.

JP knows what he's talking about! Every year, including the latest, there is coverage of this show in the Scale Auto Contest Annual (thanks in big part to JP). Always a great number of models to be seen from this show, I always look forward to seeing the coverage.

Actually it is not the first AF get together, I had one at a regional IPMS meeting and met 306st16(?) (which hasn't been heard of since...)
But if there are more then 3 people.. it is a ecord for AF in the Benelux. :D:D

Grey plz keep it in English, Altough I can undertand it, most of the board can't understand. And since IPMS is not limited to only Duthc people, it would be nice to post in a language almost everyone can understand.
ANd who cares about age in this hobby, childs of 12 can do it, old man of 40 :D:D can do it even higher ages can do it.. (hopefully they don't have Parkinson.. )

I'm all with Wishmaster. Age doesn't matter in this hobby. It's the fun that counts. Fun in building models, fun in talking with other people with the same hobby.
And fun there will be at the Nationals.

It's on November 16. Just let me know. There are already 2 other modelers - non car builders though :( - coming with me. Don't care about the age. When I got started 20 years ago, I use to drive with people of 50 to model shows. btw. I got 'only' 35 last week... :smoka:

You still have 1,5 months to fix your car.. ;) and if that's not possible may be you can come by train..? don't know if it would be possible with connections.. but worth finding out, i think.. Or find another person 'with' a car that could be persuaded to go also, so you can hitch a ride from him (or her..)

Well, it was today and I went. Saw some familiar faces, only not from AF.. (except for 306t16 who left the Inet for a while...) To bad that it hadn't come to a real AF gathering (or did I miss something..?)
Toke many photo's, who will be on the net a.s.a.p., just need to convert them to an acceptable size. Bought only 2 models this time and a very sharp knife (time for battlescars:rolleyes: )
My models will be photografed and displayed in the same thread that I will created for all the show pics.

You got a great photographing talent.. I'm the best in blurry pics, but weird enough I failed to blur all of them :D
You'll can expect the thread this evening, have to resize many files.
And maybe instead a link to the picture, just the tag so they can see them all and not have to click on the link to see the pic.. Just a thought.

I bought severel kits also, the one I'am the most happy with is Fujimi's kit of the F355 berlinetta.

JP, glad to hear you had a fun time-tell us which pictures are your models. I know the dark blue 360 Spider and the light green Boxster are yours, and perhaps the two 275's are yours? Are any of the cars Sylvia's? Thanks for sharing the pics!

Which F355 did you get? Ahh, you did say Berlinetta. The interior and chassis are apparently straight from the 348, incorrect but I'm not going to worry over that-the body is the most fun to get correct! Are you going to join me and Veyron, and "the other Bob" with the (slowwww) group build of our F355's? We are planning to debut them at Veyron's show in Chattanooga in late April.

I'm from Belgium ( Charleroi ) but a great part of my family is from the netherlands. I've still an uncle that lives in Zoetermeer ( Kipperkade ).

The belgian community on Af becomes bigger.

Thanks to my F*cking PC, the resize will have to be done again, it decide to crash again. :( they will be on asap, so think that mine will be here thursday.. As the poll makes clear, they will be 640 x 480. The originals (1600 x 1200) well be available for email :D
