This is in responses I got via PM for how to disable the door locks on a 2002 Silverado. I'm retyping this so forgive any typos I make along the way..
From the Manual:
To enter program mode you need to do the following:
1. Beginning with the ignition off; pull back on the turn signal all the way toward you until the flash to pass is activated, and hold it while you perform the next step
2. Turn your key to run and off twice. Then, with the key in off release the turn signal lever. Once you do this, you will hear the lock mechanism lock and unlock.
3. You are now ready to program the automatic door locks. Select one of the following four programming options and follow the instructions. You will have 30 seconds to complete programming, If you exceed 30 seconds; the locks will automatically lock and unlock to indicate you have left the program mode. If this occurs; go to step 1 and begin again. You can exit programming mode at any time by turning the ignition to run (locks lock/unlock) to indicate you are leaving program mode. If the lock/unlock switches are not pressed while in programming mode, the auto lock setting will NOT be modified.
Options:
I'm abbreviating here, all mentions of the lock/unlock button are on the DRIVERS SIDE
All doors lock, Only drivers door unlock:
Press lock once, then unlock once
All doors lock, All doors unlock
Press lock once, unlock twice
All doors lock, NO doors unlock
Press lock once, Press unlock 3 times
NO doors lock, NO doors unlock
Press the lock button twice. THIS TURNS OFF THE AUTOMATIC LOCK FEATURE
