Alright went out to my car this morning to go work on my brakes and theres at least a half inch of standing water on the drivers side..after using 4 towels i finally got it out, then set another towl under my floormats to take care of any other leakage. I was looking for water spots on the interior and i think its comin from the speaker cover..pretty much sure that speaker is blown..it was old anyways i dont care. so that means that the water is leaking in the door somehow. I found that the rectangular plastic molding on the exterior was loose on top. Could that be my problem? I think it got broke when someone tried to break into my car the 2nd time.

Oh well at least i got the brakes changed and i picked up some new rainx wipers..gotta change the oil, should i use heavier wt. to help the synchro in 3rd? and i guess i should probly either get a new air filter or at least clean the one i have.

I would check around the firewall area as well as the sealing on the front windshield...it sounds like it might be coming from the front or something.

i used heavier weight for my 3rd gear and i also used some of the lucas oil stuff. it helped a lil.

I used Gm synchromesh after it was suggested on this forum. The stuff is AMAZING! It took a couple solid days of driving to really notice it, but my 3rd gear which used to crunch into 3rd rarely even puts up a fight anymore. Love the stuff, and I got it right at a GM dealership. Wasnt cheap though

Take the door panel off. There should be a plastic guard covering the entire inside of the door. if they rip, or are missing, alot of water will leak it. that would be the first place I would look.

Your Si draintubes for your sunroof run down that way. You might want to check to see if anything is messed up there? Just a thought.

The drain tubes run down to the back fenders, not saying it isnt those but unlikely.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they have drain tubes going forwards as well as backwards. But like you said, it might not be it. I'm just offering my :2cents:
