Are there any tricks in changing the oil pan gasket on a 2000 Regal 3800? I have a leak and the bolts are all snug. It looks like it will be very tedious to change due to the crowded equipment on the Regal. Any thoughts?

No tricks but it is a tedious job. Problem is getting adequate clearance to remove the oil pan due to the engine/tranny subframe in the way. You'll have to remove the dog bone engine mounts and the tranny mount. Then raise the engine and transmission up with lifting equipment or loosen the subframe and drop it down some.

Doesn't sound like fun either way. I don't have the lift equipment, so it looks like I have two choices. Drop the subframe, or have it done at a shop. Do you know much about dropping the subframe?
