Temperature Gauge

After changing the battery in my 1999 Olds Alero I noticed that the temperature gauge had reveresed completely (i.e. turned clockwise hitting the stop) and it nolonger works. Any ideas as to how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

Sounds like its unpluged.

But you didnt say what engine you have.....
