Hey everybody.....I have a sub coming today and I just wanted to know how to install it and the amp........ok let me see if i have this right. Ok, I have a mono amp that puts out 800w@2ohm and 450w@4ohm. My sub is a 10" Kicker that is DVC but wired for a single 2ohm load.

----In order to attach the amp to my factory radio i get the line out converter and plug the RCA cables in......run the RCA cables into the input of the amp. Then run some power wire from the batter to the +12 terminal...and then, from what I understand, get any power source and plug it into the "Rem" terminal. Then get ground wire and wrap it around a bolt. Then I guess I just run some wires into the side of the sub and turn it on.

Question I have here is what kind of wire should I use for all of this? What guage for the +12, REM, and ground? And where should I plug the REM into or do i even need to at all? Are their special cables I need to get for the sub to the amp? Thank you soooo much for looking!! http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

4 ga for +12 and ground, 16-18 or anything you may have lying around for remote. 12 ga for amp to sub. wire the remote to the remote turn on from the radio, should be blue and white.

Connect your ground wire first :). But basically yea, if you want to be fancy with it, you can wire the remote wire into a toggle switch, but it's not really necessary.
