Ok well let me start off saying that im in Canada (Toronto) not the states, but I think we have a law thats pretty much the same.

Anyways I was @ downtown a couple of days ago, and I drove by a street where they were doing a spot check, so the cop told me to pull over to the side. Then he asked for the licence and bla bla bla, and then he told me that one of my headlights wasn't working. I told him that I didnt know that it was out and it was perfectly fine before, but he said today was "Zero Tolerance Day" so he gave me a ticket of 110$.

Now I heard if I get the headlight fixed and I have proof that I did it as in a reciept, I can have the ticket dropped? Dose anyone know if this is true?

Sounds reasonable; if you get it fixed and show up in court the judge could cut you some slack. Just make sure to show receipts from right after the ticket. Usually (in the US) you can plead no contest, advise the judge you had checked it recently and it was ok, and you replaced it as soon as the officer told you it was out.

Yeah we have fix-it tickets here. Call your local court clerk to find out the details. Basically, you go, show them it's fixed (receipt not necessary if htey come out and look at the car) They charge you like $30 in fines for wasting their time. You get an $80 refund. It's the same thing they do for illegal window tinting, etc.
