3 years old and you need a new pump ? This is the reason why people go to foreign cars . Stuff like this should last the life of the vehicle .

Not sure. The power steering pump, sits above the water pump and according to one post for an 03 you have to disconnect one motor mount and drop the engine a few inches to get a water pump out. Another for an 01 says to remove the wiper tray and pull the pump out the top. Trouble is 03s might be too new for a Haynes or Chiltons manual. Alldata.com might have instructions. I take it yours is out of warranty. If you're changing it because of a noise there is a TSB out there to change the PS reservoir with a new design. The filters in it get clogged, restrict fluid flow, and creates a noise. Probably gives other symptoms. It covered early 2000 and up years. Not sure if yours is in it. You've got the 3.8 ltr engine right?

No it is a 3.3L. Do you know where I can find the TSB. It doesn't make a noise all the time. If I drive it for a while after it has heated up then stop and turn the car off for a few minutes; when I start it back up the power steering pump noise is gone and stays gone even on very long trips....

Thanks for the feedback RIP. I might try flushing the system. A lot easier than changing the pump.

There are chemical flush additives you can buy. Gunk and SeaFoam are just two of many that make it. Just add it, run it through the system and drain.
